On Wednesday, I'm going to give an author talk at Phelps Hospital (in Sleepy Hollow, NY) to the neuro doctors, nurses, and support staff, as well as occupational and physical therapists, about my journey to recovery. From Yale-New Haven Hospital, it was Phelps that I was brought in on a stretcher for acute inpatient care. For two weeks, their entire team gave me the confidence and compassion to get stronger.

Still have certain coordination and speech deficits that the stroke has left me with, but I am here!!!!
